A Dog With A Bone
You’ll have to give me some more leeway on this, because I cannot let go of this topic yet….beef.
Do you know who the smartest man in the room is? It’s the person who knows he’s not the smartest man in the room.
That being said Robb Wolf lashes into the research establishment over the poorly designed research study. The “meat study” in question utilizes a
food questionaire over a 28 year period.Blog Post:(http://www.robbwolf.com/2012/03/14/red-meat-part-healthy-diet/)
Podcast: (http://traffic.libsyn.com/robbwolf/PaleoSolution-Episode124.mp3)
So what’s wrong with that you ask? The questionaires were sent out every 4 years!!!!
Seriously!!! Can you remember what you had to eat ( and how much)last week, last month??? This design is flawed.
Secondly, all meat is lumped togther with no regard for the type. Lunch meat, meat on pizza, Spam, grass fed—-meat is meat.
We know know there are significant nutritional differences between conventional bought beef and grass-fed, grass finished beef.
How about what’s not in grass-fed meat?
Sean Croxton over at Underground Wellness interviewd Stanley Fishman.
Take a listen: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/undergroundwellness/2012/03/14/tender-grassfed-meat-with-stanley-a-fishman
Oh, by the way, once you here what is added to the feed for conventional meat you may never eat it again!!!
Let’s start with chicken manure and add saw dust, cement, antibiotics and growth hormone for good measure…now that’s good eating!!!
Care to guess what GRASS-FED animals eat…hmmm…GRASS…with a side of….GRASS.
